Será que a briga entre eles poderá terminar? como a sinopse diz, de fato parece ser o objetivo do anime, uma briga sem fim e sem qualquer desenvolvimento do romance.

Vou me ater a falar sobre a história em si e os personagens pois essa é minha primeira revisão e não tenho muito conhecimento para criticar fatores técnicos como Som e Animação, que no geral para mim foi razoável, nada que prejudicou ou que destacou a obra.

Kimi to Boku no Saigo, começa com uma história interessante que cativa bastante o público durante os episódios inicias dando a esperança de um bom desenrolar da história da guerra que dura mais de 100 anos que dividiu a sociedade entre as pessoas que não possuem poder astral e recorrem a alta tecnologia/treinamento militar e os Bruxos que possuem espíritos astrais e um grande poder magico capaz de destruir nações, assim formando os governos Imperial e Nebulis. A história em si é bem interessante, mas a cada episódio que passa o foco se vira totalmente para a relação "amorosa" entre os personagens principais Iska o Santo Discípulo (um soldado imperial de grande misterio e interesse do Imperio) e Alice a Bruxa de Gelo da Calamidade(filha da rainha do governo de Nebulis).

A história por trás da guerra é muito interessante, assim como li em um comentário, faz referencia a governos como esquerda e direita, republicanos e democratas, e no meio de toda confusão que esse tema complexo pode gerar estão o personagens principais, que tem como objetivo terminar com a guerra e o preconceito entre ambas as partes. Isso que faz o anime valer apena ser assistido, será que teremos uma solução para nossa real life também? :v
Alice, linda e gentil adolescente.
Aquela tsundere padrão que prefere rivalizar ao ser verdadeira com seus sentimentos logo de cara, quando esta em campo de batalha é uma bruxa digna do título que carrega muito calma e fria com suas ações. Tem presença e gostos dignos da realeza como Opera, Artes e Viagens constantes de reflexão, além de um forte senso de proteger sua família que faz oposição ao Império. Apesar de eu pessoalmente não gostar de tsunderes, Alice cumpriu seu papel com perfeição durante a história, demonstrando bastante interesse em Iska e em por um fim a guerra de 100 anos com sua magia. Honra é uma contradição, em alguns momentos palavra é lei mas em outros ela age mais pelos seus sentimentos(a cena em que sua criada engana Iska e o captura de guarda baixa com uma bebida que o fez adormecer, ela decide levar aquilo adiante).
Iska, o espadachim.
O protagonista gentil e sem qualquer interesse além de sua equipe militar, apesar de ter uma relação bastante estranha com Alice. Possui um código moral inabalável e de respeito, aquele personagem que prioriza o povo e não o governo, capaz de trair o Império para ficar um passo mais próximo de seu objetivo de por um fim a guerra dos 100 anos. Uma pessoa extremamente confiável que adora passar seu tempo ao lado dos amigos de equipe. É um verdadeiro mistério, o interesse obsessivo do império sobre Iska não é revelado, ele é um verdadeiro caos na história, sempre em cima do muro sem tomar uma atitude. No campo de batalha ele é um espadachim sem igual com suas espadas astrais capaz de anular magia, sempre prefere nocautear seus inimigos e evitar baixas. O verdadeiro problema com o personagem é essa falta de interesse construída, pois a temporada termina e você acaba com a sensação de que Iska nem se quer foi capaz de notar os sentimentos de Alice por ele.

Em relação a outros personagens:
São MUITOS PERSONAGENS extremamente rasos sem qualquer desenvolvimento PARA POUCO ENREDO.
Por exemplo:

Hikaru Midorikawa como Lord Mask, tem um papel interessante de vilão mas nada se sabe sobre ele; Konomi Kohara como Kissing Zoa Nebulis, candidata a comandante do Governo de Nebulis na futura eleição.

Agora podemos falar sobre a conclusão da primeira temporada num geral, em relação ao desenrolar dos conflitos entre Imperio e Nebulis parece estar caminhando bem, com a aparição interessante do Imperador no final mas ainda há muito mistério. O que mais pesa nesse final é a relação entre Iska e Alice, de rivais apaixonados que vão lutar até o fim. Por trazer como base os gêneros de fantasia e romance se torna um anime razoável, tem muita ação e magia, com um conflito complexo para ser resolvido, mas o romance em si é horrível pois cria muita espectativa, mas o fato de até mesmo no último episódio Iska dar a entender que não notou os sentimentos de Alice quebra com o clima.

Vale apena assistir? Se você não tem nada mais interessante, vale.

Introduction

This show with a Light Novel title is an Action Romance about a Soldier from a country called "The Empire" and a girl from "The Sovereignty" having many encounters with each other that made them slowly falling in love, despite the 2 countries been at war with each other for 100 years. Romeo and Juliet basically

The story is simple, a young man named Iska is one of the best soldiers from "The Empire" and is sent to missions after missions to somehow win this war. He has a goal, however, that is to make peace with the enemy country and ending the 100 years of conflict. Meanwhile, in "The Soveirngty" a girl named Aliceliese who is a princess of her country, also wants peace with the enemy. With this common ground, the 2 characters understand each other more and started getting along.

How not to create a fantasy world

The story is simple, yet the world supporting it is very lacking in any lore or information. All we know about the world of this series is that there are 2 nations fighting. 1 nation is more technologically advanced while the other relies on magic. That's it. Where are they? What are the people like? What other difference do they have? Nothing. Heck, we don't even know their fucking names. The whole magic and technology thing doesn't even matter when you look at their cities. The architectures are the same. The culture seems the same. The people seem the same. It takes out the immersion and the feeling of being a real world.

I'm not saying every Fantasy anime needs this much information. But when it's about 2 giant countries fighting over each other, then give us something to easily differentiate the 2 at a glance and to make it feel like 2 real countries that are believable. The only difference we can spot is in combat. And not when we spend half of the season out of combat

And the way it presents its world just feels cheezy. New information is added when it's convenient. It doesn't feel natural. There are no previous indicators what so ever

Characters

Most of the characters are poorly written. They barely have any screen time to developt and doesn't have any motive to fight in this war, other than they just so happen to be involved in it

They only have 1 trait about them, and then that's stuck to them for the entire series. An example of this is Iska's crew. It consists of a loli with big breast, a red-haired girl who is just there, and a guy that's trying to be the older brother type quiet type. That's the only trait they have. They feel 1 dimensional and they don't feel like real people.

And not to mention the boring dialogues they have with each other. The interaction between them just feels like they're new colleagues, mere acquaintances, despite the show telling the viewers that they're close. It doesn't feel satisfying nor entertaining.

I said most because personally, I enjoyed the fuck out of the 2 main love interests. Idk why, but when they're talking to each other they feel like an awkward couple being a tsundere and slowly understanding each other and more open towards each other. The slow progression is relaxing and feels just right for this kind of thing.

This is the only thing I like about the show. Everything else is eh

It's an action series but I honestly can't say a lot about it. It's fine. Magic vs Technology sounds cool on paper, but 80% of the technological side of things use swords. The animation, choreography... I can't say much about it, to be honest. It's fine

A forgettable show where the only substance is the developing relationship between Alicia(fMC) and Iska(mMC).
Our Last Crusade started off with a decent and interesting premise.
Pretty quickly you learn that the side characters are there to facilitate the male MC getting his swords in -tense- situations, and the female MC getting flustered. They are otherwise one dimensional and besides adding a damsel, are there to be extra bodies.

The world doesn't really get fleshed out and never feels like a place people live. The world is surprisingly chill for a genocidal empire commiting every war crime known to man and magical kingdom fighting tooth and nail for it's survival.
The world and side characters leave a lot to be desired.

Let's get into the meat of the series, the budding romance between the mMC and fMC.
It starts off promising, and then repeats itself over and over without moving forward.
Their relationship is the only reason to watch the anime, so I wish they didn't pump the brakes and spin the wheel quite so forcefully.

The fMC is a hyper competant, intelligent, and observant figure feared throughout the empire as "The Ice Calamity". She is a single person army that shows how badass and focused she is in the first episode where she completes her objective while fighting the mMC and tracking the flow of the battle around her.
It was fantastic. Episode 2 we see her human side and the effect of her fated encounter with the mMC. Episode 3 and on she falls further and further into what I can only describe as a "gibbering idiot" with the depth of a drained bath. To say her character development was disappointing would be criminally negligent.
The mMC is also a hyper competant combatant who is shown in the first episode to have a conscience and defies his empire to save a life he thinks is inconsiquential. After some time in prison, he is released and we never really see that conscience again and instead get a dandilion fluff that goes with the direction of the wind that day. He never once makes a choice that moves or drives things forward. He only reacts to what destiny throws at him.
He has the personality of a cardboard standee that mirrors who is talking to it.
His teacher and the lineage he was passed down seems important, but it is never touched on after its introduction.

The plot does eventually crawl it's way forward and introduces characters and sub plots that should have been introduced in the first few episodes.

It meanders and stumbles, but moves forward. It's not terrible, but its not great either.

While it commits no great sins, this time next year this anime will be on the list of ones that I don't recall if I've watched, because above all else, it is forgetable.
