DESCRIPTION

This risque romantic comedy story centers on Eita, an introvert mecha otaku high schooler who has a crush on the school's most popular girl Makina. When Eita finds Makina at her doorstep, he is flustered, and even more so when Makina reveals her secret: that she is a "sexaroid" robot designed for pleasure, and she is asking Eita to conduct some repairs on her discreetly. While Makina immediately tries to make a move on Eita physically, Eita struggles to contain himself, while also hiding her secret.

A Pretty Funny and Enjoyable Series That's Good if You Don't Want to Think Too Hard!!

Overview:
“Makina-San's a Love Bot!!” is a fun and silly, no-brain, ecchi-rom-com watch with a great English dub!! It has fun characters and is honestly a lot of fun.

Plot:

Basic Synopsis: Eita is an introverted robot obsessed high school student who has a crush on the school's most popular girl, Makina. One day Eita finds a broken Makina at his doorstep, he finds out her secret, Makina is a sex robot (“sexaroid”) and asks for Eita to repair her and give her a place to stay (because her house blew up), he agrees, and their crazy days together begin!!

My Thoughts: I enjoyed the plot, it was silly, and progressed enough, though I feel it's the characters that drove the story. I suppose to seem people, the plot could get quite repetitive, it's a lot of:
Makina breaking
Eita has to fix her
Fanservice
But I would say that it's really good if you don't want to think too hard, and just want something silly.

Comedy: The comedy was great in my opinion, I think it’s the fact that it hits well, though a lot of the comedy is very sexual and heavily relies on sexual dialogue/situations, but I felt despite it being a lot of the same things, it was really funny, especially when the new characters were introduced, we got some new stuff there.

Characters:

Makina: The best character in this whole series, she's so funny and expressive. Spoiler!! I found it really funny when we found out the fact the Makina knew nothing about sex, or how to have it, probably just because she's a robot made for sex, so her knowing nothing about it is funny.

Eita: Eh, he's probably my least favorite character, he's kinda a simple romance protagonist who's whole this is that he loves robots and Spoiler!! Is unsurprisingly a virgin.

Mimika: She's pretty funny, the whole episodes on her Spoiler: Wanting an adult body because she hates her elementary schooler body was really funny, and when she immediately wanted it back because it breaks often and hated how it felt to get it fixed, yeah that was funny. Plus we got to see a child Makina, which was kinda weird not gonna lie. I liked her, she was quite funny, especially her personality.

Mamimi: Poor Mamimi might always walking in on the worst moments that was kinda her whole thing, though her Spoiler: Teaching Alma about Mamimi's favorite thing, yaoi, was really funny. Poor Mamimi won't be getting Alma to destroy Eita for a while because of this.

Alma: She was quite funny, despite barely showing up, I loved how Spoiler!! When Mamimi wanted Alma to destroy Eita, and she wanted to finish the yaoi series she was working on, now that was really freaking hilarious, and one of the moments in the series that stuck out to me

Ooya-San: She was funny, but rarely showed up, and similarly to Mamimi, only showed up at the worst moments.

Thoughts on the characters overall: I enjoyed Makina and Eita's dynamic, same thing with Mamimi and Alma's, and found the characters a lot of fun, even if they lack too much depth.

Music:

Honestly I don't remember too much about the background music or the ED (if there was one at all) but what I do remember was that banger of an intro, “Ie de Yeah! tte Age Tiger" (家でYeah！ってアゲタイガー)” by Serena Kozuki. The song is so much fun, and was quite enjoyable, I really enjoyed this song. Matched with the visuals it was amazing, the visuals were beautiful and amazingly animated for a short series like this. I enjoyed it.

Voice Acting:

I've only seen in in English dub, but I found the English dub great, a of the VAs are very expressive and I think really bring out the characters, especially Chloe Eves (the voice of Makina), she had the best performance in my opinion, and did an amazing job voicing Makina!!

Art and Animation:

Surprisingly high quality for a short series, pretty good animation, and I love the eyes, plus the color design is freaking awesome. I like the art. Visually, this series is nice.

Android wa Keiken vs Makina-San:

Both have a very similar plot, sex robot meets someone and ends up moving in, both are executed in very different ways.

Similarities: Both are ecchi with lots of nudity, (in my opinion) Nadeshiko and Makina felt similar in personality wise (though I can't put my finger on how exactly they are similar), both features sex robots that have colorful hair

Differences:
Android wa Keiken: Adult cast, yuri, has lots of sex scenes, has no male characters

Makina-San: (Primarily) High-school cast, heterosexual romance, no sex scenes, has a male character (only one but still)

Between the two, I think I enjoyed Android wa Keiken more, though both were enjoyable, and I would probably put both at an 9(maybe even a 9.5)/10

Overall Impression:

It's a fun, high energy series that's good if you don't want to think too hard, and just have a good time. It's pretty enjoyable, I would say this series is probably a 9(maybe even a 9.5/10)!!
