92/100The Superb Manhwa Where Every Victory Is Earned Through DeathContinue on AniList**TLDR; IT'S VERY AWESOME AND WORTH A TRY READ IT DUDES** This particularly entertaining Manhwa drawn with such skilled hands is an entertaining work combined with a simple story that isn't that hard to follow. Along with its phenomenal artwork, I assure you it is more than enough to draw you in after looking at the first chapter. Because, c'mon, just LOOK at the fight scenes in this manhwa. As usual with manhwas that have these settings, you've got the classic medieval fantasy lineup for a story consisting of elves, mages, knights, nobles and kingdoms at war. It does have frog demi-humans though, I'm confident that you don't see much of that in the South Korean comic industry. Now, before I reveal more of what I think of this manhwa, let's have a brief reread of its synopsis: > "You're a genius." Those words he heard as a child were poison. Encrid dreamed of becoming a knight, but he soon realized it was futile. "You want to live by the sword with that level of skill?" Some laughed at him. "Just give up." Some advised him against it. Despite that, his dream remained steadfast. He slept less, ran more, and trained harder. One day, he died, having been stabbed in the neck. Encrid opened his eyes again to "today's" morning. We've seen transmigration, rebirth, reincarnation, and this return-by-death schtick? I can think of a few examples of this too. So, the story isn't really unique, but what truly makes this manhwa something that stands out is its, sorry if I repeated this already, BEAUTIFULLY DRAWN fight scenes completely filled with excellent choreography that would have you looking at the panel like you're a man that just met the love of your life. Well then, what else does this story have? We've got delectable artistry in its every panel, so? OF COURSE it's not just that. Encrid isn't just your monotonous and boring protagonist that fights well and is a monolith of absolute mental composure. He struggles, struggles and struggles. That's the intention the manhwa wants to show you, to see this man lacking any special talents other than his battle-hardened body die repeatedly through getting stabbed, slashed, poisoned and a lot of other deathly ways in his pursuit of a seemingly impossible dream to become a knight he is mocked with if he ever blurts it out. But, this particular persevering quality of his isn't just what makes Encrid a charming protagonist, it is the fact that he is continually being built stronger and stronger through the support of his band of troublemakers he was tasked to overseer and other unique people that was drawn to him through other unique encounters. Amazingly, even the dialogue and other seemingly minor characters of this manhwa feels so real and grounded, it's to the point that it is honestly astounding that it still manages to be a very simple and engaging story with how many details is placed in the background. So, that's the charm of this manhwa explained by yours truly, I hope I’ve managed to convince you to read it.
