A Refreshingly Unique Fantasy Adventure Manga
**TLDR; IT'S A VERY GOOD MANGA, GIVE THIS ONE A QUICK READ TO SEE IF YOU'LL LIKE IT AS MUCH AS I DO.** The world within this wildly unique and magical manga, Ichi The Witch, is a world where magic is alive in the form of rampaging and intelligent monsters named ‘Majik’, a world where completing the trials given by these very monsters are the only way to receive magic, and even then, only women can take up the task of attempting to complete these trials and becoming magically powered humans, namely witches. Now this is where the prologue comes in, where it introduces you to the main character with the name of, I'm sure you can already guess, Ichi. Ichi is a young and natural-born hunter, gatherer and combatant. He's a boy who lives by the motto “death for death”, an instinct that has grown within him that causes him to immediately try to strike down those that lust for his blood. And he just so happened to find a powerful majik known as ‘Uroro the King Majik’. And he just so happened to defeat it and complete its trial while it was in the middle of combat with a powerful witch. So, Ichi’s adventure began with turning his world's concepts completely upside down. A very fun start for our protagonist, who I personally will always root for since he's just so charming, and you'll find out why as you continue reading. Withholding as much information as possible while still trying to elaborate as best as I can, one of the greatest charms of this manga will definitely be the unusual and eccentric yet utterly lovable protagonist paired with his master, the uber-talented and badass, Desscaras. Desscaras being the powerful witch who was locked in combat with Uroro, which I mentioned just a few sentences ago. She had decided to take it upon herself to be Ichi's teacher. With this rambunctious pair at the helm of this manga, I assure almost every reader that they will not be disappointed. The way this author writes the personality of their characters, how they interact and form relationships with our protagonist, is something everyone interested in this manga should look forward to. As for the reason why, it's because Ichi himself is someone you will recognize as charmingly bizzare, honest, unrestrained and authentic. Akin to a feral wolf that suddenly took human form and immediately decided that everyone that is genuinely nice to him is part of his pack now. Although, try to attack him with bloodlust, and you'll passionately kiss his knife with your throat. So, with this quality of his, it is definitely something that makes for some incredibly unique interaction. Regarding its story, Ichi The Witch is a manga that livens up its plotline with its exciting and intense majik trials. Where you'll find Ichi and his friends in various, unique places to save people by preventing further destruction through completing the trials of cunning and sentient magical monsters. These story arcs that combine great action scenes, emotional moments and surprising twists will not only amuse you, but also have you crying and raging on your seat. In conclusion, “Ichi the Witch” is a fantasy and action manga that just screams distinctiveness as you continue to read its chapters. With its awesome art, well-written characters and compelling plotline, it is more than worthy of being read by everybody. While keeping this review in mind, I really hope you give this manga a chance to impress you.
