  [ Tomb Raider King ] ( Dogul Wang / Toukutsu Ou ) (Season 1) (12 Episodes) (Jun 13 - Sep 24, 2026) review

  [SPOILER]

  • What in the world?! our Queen of Bankruptcy, Irene Holton, super saiyan-ed herself into a FATE anime franchise level⚡️Sword Saintess when going up against this Season 1 wretched final boss Relic of War user, USA's Military General Kiera Clark! A big laugh bursted, am suprised to see, but for sure a welcomed one.

  • I was assuming its gonna be more of an economical scale of fight scenes akin to the "C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control (also known as [C] – Control) (2011)" anime battles, from our Hilton hotel empire moghul "inspired" heiress. But instead, a FATE level Sword Saintess + Navy Admiral Borsalino Kizaru 'light' devil fruit user haki power from One Piece, aura berserker transformation it is! Haha.

  • Why is the ending song already have spoiler of character from next season, right from the start of Season 1 - Episode 1 even? That typical spectacle "villain-turned-ally" trope short-haired guy character.

  • The Korean voice acting seiyuu sounds off, a bit slow, laggy, trailing behind the animation, spoilt like 20% of my viewing experience.

  • This anime is 2/10 points/stars a bit lamer than those OP fight scenes we got from Solo Leveling, the single last episode (Episode 12) epic battle scenes just won't cut it, then again... its just a Temu version right? haha.
I guess, they wanna stick more to the Lara Croft's Tom Raider historical artifact/relic informecials rather than focusing too much on the flashy battle aspect. Not really a bad thing per se, but resulted in some plot narrative falling short where it counts.
Solo Leveling has a cleaner fast-paced, more robust experience, that this anime obviously strived for but failed (medium hiccup) to wholly replicate. Still... 'A' for the effort nonetheless.

  • The background setting surrounding when Suh Joo-Heon went to scout the turnt-homeless information broker Edward, reminded me of Solo Leveling's stage where the main protagonist battled against a lethal silver Basilisk boss in an underground subway dungeon, talk about rip-off, amirite :)

  • We get 3-4 showy flashy battle scenes in this Season 1, not that bad i guess. Hoping towards a greater Season 2 sequel, like what Solo Leveling did.

  • Regrettably, the final scene pan-over not showing us MC Suh Joo-Heon well-deserved step-crush on the risk/penance maggot form of Relic of War user, General Kiera Clark, is such a huge letdown, what a lame cliché technique of foreshadowing that he lets her live as next season's potential "ally" instead of being decisive and just straight up show he ended her for real!
