Defeat the Invisible Opponent
The search party heads to Tokyo to look the kidnapped doctor. 009 searches in his old neighborhoods and there he meets an old friend who tells him about the past. An odd yet huge young guy joins them and makes a sculpture for 009. Suddenly a man shows up and takes the boy with him. Turns out that this is one of the kidnappers from the BG organization searching for the ""run-away"" boy and, recognizing 009 as a Cyborg, heads back to the car with the boy. After talking to his two other Cyborg killer companions decides to kill 009. After handing over the doctor to a huge invincible robot that comes out from the ocean, they attack 009. The leader of the Cyborg killers is caught but then the invincible robot returns and attacks 009. 009 uses his acceleration device to almost win the battle but the robot uses the kidnapped doctor as a human shield. Then he just disappears after creating an huge whirlwind of mud.

Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier
Cyborg 009 is a story about nine experimental cyborgs (eight male and one female), which have been collected by the evil terrorist group, Black Ghost. Those nine cyborgs with the aid of a scientist turn against Black Ghost's control. Black Ghost in turn starts sending more cyborgs to destroy their first nine experimental cyborgs and causing destruction all around the world.

Notes:
- Episodes 1-48 aired on TV. Episodes 49-51 consist of the "GOD'S WAR" OVA. An additional recap episode aired between episodes 47 and 49.
- The "GOD'S WAR: Prologue" bonus arc is not intended to be in continuity with the other episodes, as it was instead produced as a teaser at adapting the unwritten final chapter of the Cyborg 009 manga. TV Tokyo could not air more than 51 episodes and the first two OVA episodes were cut and merged together into one episode, leaving the final one unaired.
